“Taste the can” celebrated the day of Galicia yesterday, surprising the cruise ships that docked in the Port of Vigo with a free tasting of canned fish and seafood.
The passengers of the Tui Discovery II vessel, from Malaga and to Oporto, tasted tapas and pinchos made by chef Juan Carlos Perret with spanish canned fish and seafood accompanied by Rías Baixas wines. Hundreds of cruise passengers came to the meeting and the tasting was a success.
This event is part of the campaign of Anfaco-Cecopesca to take advantage of the arrival of cruise ships from all over the world to the land of canned fish and shellfish and to make known the benefits of this product and the importance of Spain and Galicia as leading producers of canned fish and seafood at international level.
The campaign will be developed until the end of the year in various cruise ships that make stops in the port of Vigo, where the passage and crew have the opportunity to discover a product as Galician as exquisite.
