After traveling throughout the Route of Santiago’s French Way, “Una lata en cada etapa” (“one stage, one can”) reaches its destination: Santiago de Compostela. It has been an intense month, sharing with the pilgrims from all the world the culinary and nutritional benefits of the Galician canned fish and seafood. The adventure left behind 23 emblematic towns, thousands of new friends and more than 25.000 tastings of tapas made with different varieties of canned fish.
This successful campaign was a collaborative effort of the European Union and the Ministerio de Agricultura, Alimentación y Medio Ambiente (Spanish Government) and celebrated its closing ceremony with the main authorities of the area: Rosa Quintana; Nava Castro, Secretaria General de; Juan Maneiro, Director General de Pesca all of them from Xunta, the Galician Regional Government and José Álvarez Robledo, Director del Área de Agricultura y Pesca de la Delegación de Gobierno (Spanish Government).
We leave behind a great experience that has discovered the extraordinary flavour and quality of our canned fish to visitors from all over the globe. This experience is now part of their gastronomic adventure in Spain.
